Hacks or am I just being silly? A military history of the campaigns of Belisarius, the greatest general of the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Emperor Justinian. He twice defeated the Persians and reconquered North Africa from the Vandals in a single year at the age of 29, before going on to regain Spain and Italy, including Rome (briefly), from the barbarians.

I bought some volumes on Ebay or from various out-of-print bookstores.

Belisarius 210

However the best source is Nadir Kitap. I have done business with them for years. Very reliable and fast. They are a central web store like ABE, selling books from many different stores. They usually have some of the officials for sale.
Using dünya harbi or birinci dünya will find quite a few of the volumes.

The series was originally printed as softbound books. Some were rebound as hard backs. There is always a mix available. A set of Robin Higham's Official Histories and Official Military Historical Offices and Sources

Belisarius 21 Sailboat

helps in knowing what was published. The Turkish works are mainly in volume 1 of Official Military Historical Offices and Sources.

A German publication quoted on the Overvalwagen Forum mentions 17 pieces Krupp 13cm guns ordered by Turkey in the late 1930s. Deliveries were halted by the German govt after three guns had been delivered. For a long time I had discarded this historic piece of intel and thought it might have been a typo. However, this order should not be confused with the order for Krupp 15cm guns or Skoda 21cms, made (and cancelled) simultaneously. I reckon this 13cm gun was a German naval weapon, possibly to be used as coastal and I think it can only have been the 12,7cm (actually 128mm) SKC/34. Can this be true? Does anybody know of these guns being supplied for Turkey? Some of the German weapons were bored out 10,5cm SKC/28, so another possibility is that Krupp was going to bore out WW1 era Turkish 10,5cm naval guns.
